Does staring at a blank journal page want to make you scratch your eyes out? If you love journaling or are thinking about starting you’ll want to check out these inspirational and soul soothing beauties!
I’ve been journaling on and off for years. When it comes to communication I’m a way better writer than I am a talker, so I get the most out of writing when it comes to expressing myself or just doing a good ‘ole mind dump.
The Pressure Of A Blank Page
Although, one thing I can’t do when it comes to journaling is staring at a blank page. It literally makes my skin crawl and I’d rather scratch my eyes out! The pressure of the blank page staring back at me, waiting for me to write something amazing and profound is just too much.
I need a prompt.
I need a little “umph” to get my brain working and the words flowing. I also like to have something that guides me and helps me stay on track with my goals so I’m not getting distracted.
I’m no James Patterson.
Besides communicating the other thing I love about journaling is that it’s kind of like therapy. It lets you just say whatever without apprehension – just get it out. Journaling lets you get angry, lets you be sad, depressed, it lets you be happy, excited, set goals. And, the best part is you can go back later, read what you wrote and learn SO SO MUCH about yourself.
Guys – seriously. Journaling feels so good. It sounds crazy, I know, but believe me. It’s so healing and good for the soul. You can even write letters to people in your life that have hurt you or inspired you. You can even write a letter to yourself! Obviously, you don’t send these letters, but it’s a way of just getting all the thoughts and feelings out of your head, heart and on to paper.
