my friday favorites

Don’t miss all the goodies from this past week – treat yo’self and read on to find out my favorite things that made me smile! And, what you may find to be your favorites too.

Since starting my blog, I do a lot more reading than I used too. I’m like that little character in the game “dig dug” that starts digging down a tunnel and goes off in all directions discovering new and interesting things down each hole.

By the end, I have a “board” of tunnels dug all over the place! It’s a little messy visually, but, I definitely reveal some pretty cool stuff and I want to share it with you!

Cupcakes!

Who doesn’t like cupcakes? These ones were so real looking I did a double take. Check out @_leslie_vigil_ on Instagram! Her feed is like candy to the eyes – you will not believe how real her cakery creations look. Warning: It might also make your mouth water.

Meditation Candle

I’m on a 15-day meditation streak so when I came across this candle I knew I had to grab it. The natural wood wick, “black” escape-from-the-world fragrance and mala inspired packaging make this Holistic Science Co. candle an essential for your first or next mental break.

How To Stop Being Afraid

We all fear something – right?! When I came across this blog post I had to read it immediately. Especially when I identified with the author in the very first sentence! Julia in Bluhm’s post 5 Steps to Stop Being Afraid and Start Creating is spot on if you’ve been contemplating starting a new venture and are “on the fence” so to speak. Read it now – you can thank me later.

Did Someone Say “Himalayan Rock Salt?”

I have one of these lamps and it’s magical and very soothing, so when I spotted these little beauties I couldn’t resist sharing with you guys. Just like snowflakes, no two are alike and each one is unique – how cool is that? The Soul Makes Himalayan Rock Salt candle holders vary in color from deeper pinks to lighter peaches and include a tea light too!

Need A Good Mystery Thriller?

I joined a book club this summer with a few of my neighbors and we chose the book, Sometimes I Lie by Alice Feeney. Holy cow I’m hooked! I’m a very slow reader but this one is so captivating and provocative you won’t be able to put it down – great summer read for sure. This true and false thriller will grip you hard so hang on tight.

Yoga is for Every “Bunny”

IMG_1232
I couldn’t end this post without something yoga so here’s a cute image to keep on hand. Use it and follow the moves first thing in the morning, at mid-day for a good mental break or at night before you go to bed. It’s adorable, handy and will keep you calm and relaxed. Plus, it only takes about 5 minutes to do or repeat the moves if you want a longer practice!

That about does it for now. What are some really cool things you discovered this week? Please share them and comment below – inquiring minds want to know!
